Living in Hope: hasting the New Jerusalem
I had a discussion with someone that for whatever reason is a relationship in tension. It is someone that I believed that the Lord wants to use in the future but over the last few months, it has been tense. Many times I end our chats more discouraged than I do encouraged.
It is an odd season to be in. There are times that I just want to cut off this friendship as I have some trust concerns related to it. However, on the side, I believe that God wants to do something with the friendship because we share a common interest in prophetic evangelism.
It has been a wild ride the last few months to put it lightly. I actually blocked the person on Facebook for a while and then re-friended them. However, I do see a redemptive purpose in having them as a friend. It is just we do not seem to see eye to eye on much of anything lately.
While I could say this is common among prophetic people, I am saddened by people who do not believe in those who differ from them. (It seems to be “open season” lately going after weaknesses) I struggle to believe this person is actually contending for the best anointing on my life. Most discussions end, as I said very discouraging.
It has reminded me that we need to haste the day we will be in the Holy City.
Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
The good news is that we are looking forward to being in the New Jerusalem where there will be no death, mourning, crying or pain. I long for the day that I will not ache because of the pain and sorrows of this broken world.
Haste the New Jerusalem!
There is coming a day that these hard relationships will not happen. We will be with the Lord forever. There will be no temple because the Lord will be present. In the meantime, I am longing for the day that we will caught up to be with the Lord in the air. So shall it be.
We live in the tension of living in the broken world where we have these relationships that are for a bigger purpose than we can see and the day we will be in the throne room with the creatures and the angels crying “Holy, Holy, Holy.” (Revelation 4)
The time is coming soon that we will be in Heaven and crying out for Lord to open the scroll because only He is worthy. We will be in Heaven as the purposes of God are doing among the Jewish people. However, we are not there yet.
Yet, the harvest calls!
Before we will be caught up to be with the Lord, there will be a end time global harvest unlike the world has ever seen. There will be a billion souls ushered into the faith in a rather short time. It is what Mike Bickle says will be the transformation of the understanding and expression of Christianity in one generation.
We are close to see the gospel in the language of every people group, a key end time prophecy from the scriptures. Once that happens, the only thing standing between us and the catching up is the end time revival. The good news is for the first time in history, the finish line does seem to appear in the distance.
While these relationships, like the I mentioned, are intense; there is normally a purpose we can’t see. I do not question if the person in question is called to be a forerunner at the end of the age. I would not relate to someone who I did not believe was called to be a proclaimer after some of the trails I have been through with this person.
