I get messages on Facebook and email every few days about Mike Bickle, IHOPKC and the complete prophetic movement about Gnosticism. Most people do not even have a clue what that is, why it matters and how it plays out in the world today. It is mainly something reserved for theologians and historians. Oddly, I fit in both of those roles [...]
[wd_hustle id=”email”]A question that I get a lot is concerning a coming healing revival? It is centered around some prophetic words and promises that people have been talking about for years. It seems that the discussion of healing revival goes back to as early as May 1906 at Azusa Street.
I have been part of this thing that critic call the prophetic movement. It is a group of people who believe that God speaks today and through us. You can call it the Kansas City Prophets or people from Morningstar Ministries. In the end, we just want to hear God for people and respond.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for everyone and is evident by the ability to speak in unknown tongues. However, a story about James Goll would seem like a challenge to that. Before I get started on that, who is James Goll and why would we care? He is a prophetic leader that has made quite the following writing books in recent years. [...]
Mike Bickle was my pastor for quite some time. He imparted alot of practical knowledge, wisdom and prophetic revelation into me. I was just a teenager when it started and I was in my late 20’s when I left the International House of Prayer movement in Kansas City. I have always look back and realized that my time home in Kansas City [...]
As a 18 year old, I joined this new thing called the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. It was a few dozen people and our leader, Mike Bickle. We started with all day sets of intercession and within a few months, we are going around the clock praying for revival.
Some of you may have heard that Todd Bentley has extended meetings just outside of Toronto in what he is calling the Glory Awakening. I am very happy to see Todd doing meetings again and seeing the works of Jesus manifest. I make no mistake about it: I am a fan of Todd Bentley.
I used to be part of the IHOPKC (International House of Prayer-Kansas City) ministry. It is what Mike Bickle calls an “apostolic community.” I was there from day one actually. Mike gave the call to content for stadium Christianity and power that no disease known to man will stand against. That is what I signed up for.
Latter Rains is deeply committed to revival and we are not going to change the subject of revival for anything. Until people are saved, healed, delivered, and filled en masse; the vision for revival is still a dream. I do not believe this Keep your love on teaching will get us there.
Azusa Now is the latest in big meetings done by Lou Engle and other in the prayer movement. I love Lou, Mike Bickle and Bill Johnson. However, I think these meetings have outlasted their effectiveness and might actually be a hindrance to the very thing they want to bring: revival. I was in Washington DC when Lou Engle gathered 400,000 [...]
